David Rader

CEO

  • From January of 1994 to September of 1994 I worked as a general superintendent for R.L. Hardy, Inc. I was responsible for bidding, negotiating and supervising construction on all projects allocated to me including dealing with suppliers, contractors and office personnel.

From September of 1994 to December of 1995 I was superintendent for A.L.Rader Steel erectors. I was responsible for field operations and on site management of production and personnel. I was responsible for all stages of steel construction, bidding, material acquisition and hiring.

From January 1995 to September of 2004 I was President of Paramount Erectors Inc. I performed and was responsible for all; estimating, bidding, contracts, material & equipment acquisition and supervision of all steel building construction projects.

Since approximately 2007 we have also been working with Mike Ross of Rooftec Systems and have subsequently purchased Rooftec Systems in January of 2013. The team of Rooftec Systems and Pre-Engineered Steel allows us to provide a cost-effective building envelope for a majority of building designs and provide a factory backed weather tight warranty on most projects.

From September of 2004 to present I am President of Pre-Engineered Steel Inc, I am responsible for all; estimating, bidding, contracts, material & equipment acquisition and supervision of all steel building construction projects. I am an authorized Dealer and Builder for Star Building systems and Nucor Building systems, the majority of our field installers are factory trained/certified/approved installers for most Metal Building Manufactures and MBCI, NCI, Berridge, Firestone, Durolast, VarcoPruden, AMS, Metal Sales, Pac-Clad, Suprema and Metal Span products and systems.

  • Leonard serves two critical roles here at Pre-Engineered Steel, Project Coordinator and the General Superintendent.

Leo’s journey in the steel industry started 32 years ago. Started as a hand erecting metal buildings & fell in love with it! After some years of hard work, was promoted to Forman. Now all the pressure to complete projects on time was his responsibility. Always working hard along with a great team, was promoted to general superintendent. Now with a lot more responsibilities, Leo used his experience from working in the field to better understand project needs. For example, manpower, scheduling communication with the contractors and customers. Soon afterwards, took on the role of project coordinator. The road has been tough but very rewarding.

  • With 45 years of experience in the construction industry, I serve as the license holder for roofing and general contracting in Florida and general contracting in Georgia, where a roofing license is not required. I am an OSHA-certified trainer responsible for company safety, and I also handle job estimating, project management, and negotiations with both customers and military clients.

  • After 21 years of service in the Civil Engineering Corps and Special Operations Command, I transitioned into project management for several large 8a companies. I quickly noticed a significant skills gap in the industry—too many contractors eager to win contracts but unwilling to seek out the highest skilled tradesmen necessary to ensure smooth execution and successful project outcomes.
